If you have been bitten by dog and the injury is of a serious nature then you may be able to claim compensation from CICA. When considering a compensation claim individuals should be aware that a large amount of evidence will be required in order to pursue a claim, also not all claims are successful. CICA is often used by individuals who do not hold personal insurance and therefore compensation can be claimed to fund medical treatment or as compensation for the trauma caused. How much compensation is paid out by CICA is totally dependent on the individual case in relation to dog bites. For example if there are multiple injuries then a higher amount of compensation will be paid. Extra payments are also made for combined mental and physically injuries.
In many cases the claims which are made relating to dog bites are from breeds of dogs such as Rottweiler
