Wrexham Police Station is a purpose built 14 storey 140ft tower which was built in the 70s.
Its address is Wrexham Police Station, Divisional Headquarters, Bodhyfryd, Wrexham LL12 7BW.
It is the location for North Wales Police’s operations in Wrexham and is attached to Wrexham Magistrates Court.
The police stations houses 283 staff as well as offices and a custody suite.
It is also home to a pair of peregrine falcons and their chicks who live on the roof.
North Wales Police are currently discussing whether to demolish the police station and move their custody facilities to a new site on the outskirts of town.
Some police presence would remain at the site but with the tower part removed.
The building’s £6m running costs over the next 10 years have been cited as the main reason for the review.
