Young Climate Change Champion Elected

A 15-year-old climate change champion from Wrexham has been elected as co-chair of Funky Dragon for the second year running.

Hannah Pryddych was voted in by the Funky Dragon grand council after delivering a speech at the recent AGM (annual general meeting). Alongside Hannah, Kieran Sawdonwas will also serve as co-chair.

At the Funky Dragon AGM, Hannah gave a passionate speech on her time as co-chair and the valuable learning and confidence this has given her.

As co-chair she help lead the environment portfolio along with helping set the three priorities areas. These are being voted for by children and young people all across Wales and will be announced in October.

Hannah, who taken previously taken part in Commission meetings across Wales is also actively involved in championing the climate change message in her local area.

Funky Dragon is the children and young people’s assembly for Wales, whose representatives play a role in the work of the Climate Change Commissions for Wales.
