Although we have avoided the snow that has hit parts of the UK, there is an ice warning in place from later today through until the morning.

Temperatures will bounce around 1C overnight, with it feeling like -3C if you are out and about.

The official warning is in place between 4pm today, and 11am tomorrow morning.

The Met Office warning reads: “Icy patches are expected to develop on Wednesday night and Thursday morning on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths, as well as where showers continue to fall washing off treatment.

“Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces are possible.”
