Yale College shortlisted for TWO prestigious TES Awards
Yale College is ranked ‘outstanding’ for both its excellent innovation in teaching, training learning provision and for its financial strategy according to The Times Educational Supplement (TES).
The college has been shortlisted from hundreds of entries for two Top UK Prizes by TES. The awards recognise Yale has been acclaimed by education leaders as one of the top colleges in the UK for its innovative approaches to developing excellence in teaching and learning and for their impressive three year strategy transforming the College’s financial position to the highest performing College in Wales.
Yale’s highly praised teaching and finance representatives will attend an exclusive awards ceremony on 15th November when the winners of twelve “outstanding” categories will be announced to celebrate dedication to excellence in further education.
“The award recognises the creativity, energy and commitment of all our staff and their determination to develop the very best teaching and learning experiences for all our learners,” says Carys Davies, Teaching and Learning Manager at Yale College.
Working relentlessly to advance effective teacher development programmes which focus on sharing teachers’ innovative approaches including e-learning; the shortlisting recognition for Yale’s teaching expertise follows “Colleges Wales’ Teaching and Learning award presented to them in May of this year.
Similarly strategically placed for sound financial management, Yale College lies in peak position for the outstanding financial performance of an FE College in Wales. The finance team is recognised for customer focussed strategies producing record surpluses and significantly increased reserves.
