Wrexham’s streets were alive with the sound of music today with over 25 choirs performing across the town centre.

Despite the rain there were large crowds for today’s Wrexham Singing Streets, which was the second event of its kind to take place in the town.

Kicking off 11am the event brought together a host of choirs from Wrexham, north Wales and the north west of England – including Singing Hands, Wrexham Community Choir, Tenovus Choir and Llangollen Youth Choir,

There were also two performances from Britain’s Got Talent’s ‘Only Boys Aloud’, who took to the stage at Wrexham Museum and Queens Square

At 1pm Queens Square there was a sea of umbrellas as the choirs and members of the public came together to take part in a mass singalong.

The event ran alongside the monthly Street Festival, with a number of stalls selling everything from handmade jewellery, cheese, pizza, homemade fudge and cakes
