Wrexham’s Comet store is due to close at the end of the month.

A closing down sale is likely to start shortly at the Wrexham store, and full closure will occur by the end of November if a buyer for the group is not found.

Adminstrator Deloitte confirmed the news, but said that any staff made redundant would be offered the chance to ‘redeploy’ at nearby stores.

The remaining 195 Comet stores will continue trading through Christmas.

We were the first local news outlet to say the local Comet store was under threat – story here – and to warn people to use their vouchers as soon as possible.
