A Wrexham-based video production company has strengthened its international credentials after being engaged for two promotional videos at Wimbledon.

Knew Productions was appointed by Hong Kong-headquartered APG to create a highlights video of its annual client event at SW19.

APG, a sports and entertainment event management, media and marketing company, holds a networking evening on the eve of the tournament, as well as a second event a few days in.

The Rossett agency filmed interviews on the day and combined them with footage from the event, as well as provided subtitles in Mandarin Chinese.

Richard Knew, founder and managing director of Knew Productions, said: “We have a very strong reputation for working with international clients and understanding and applying cultural differences to ensure videos match their target market.

“It’s the third year we have been asked by APG to capture the buzz of their events. The videos play a crucial role in demonstrating their added value to current and future partners, as well as encouraging attendance next year.

“They are a fantastic client and allow us the freedom to be creative with our approach and filming to ensure their videos stand out and are engaged with.

“We have had two cameramen on site at Wimbledon with an editor at our offices to pull the finished product together.”

APG is part of a growing roster of international clients, with Knew Productions also boasting customers in Sydney, Australia and Massachusetts in the USA.

Richard added: “It shows that location is not an issue: as well as filming across the UK, briefs from our international clients also involves capturing footage across the world.”

Grant Carpio, senior marketing director at APG, said: “The annual APG Night at our APG House in Wimbledon is probably the most crucial marketing event for us as we are privileged to host some of the most prominent leaders in the sport of tennis as well as some of the best athletes of the world.

“Richard and his team understand the importance of this event for us and do a great job to capture all the essence of the night into just a few minutes of video.”

Knew Productions has been established for more than 21 years and has worked with a variety of organisations in the manufacturing, health, education and sports sectors including the National Trust, Tetra Pak, Jones Bros, Savills and the Royal Engineers.
