A teenager has been sentenced to 32 months custody for conspiracy to burgle.

The 17-year-old from Wrexham received the sentence as part of a gang that targeted homes among the Asian community in North Wales and the North West of England with the aim of stealing high value cars and jewellery.

DC Rebecca Roberts said: When someone commits a burglary, invading your home and stealing property, it is not uncommon for the victims to feel violated. It is, therefore, reassuring that the criminal justice system shares our concern and imposes custodial sentences on those who have no respect for others.

“I would remind anyone considering this type of crime as a means to make money, that North Wales Police will use all available powers and resources to put you before the courts.”
