It does not need us telling you that the snow is still here, and more has fallen. We will be continuing to collate information and imagery, plus forecast information to try and help out as much as possible.

We will be updating this page with Wrexham Snow Updates – please email us on [email protected] , tweet @wrexham or post on our forums with updates and we will collate them on here!

The latest updates are at the top, and we are collating pictures from throughout the day further down the page…

Update 10PM
The snow appears to have stopped for now. Expect things to remain quiet for a few hours before another band of snow looks to be moving our way in the early hours of the morning.

For Wrexham fans travelling down to Wembley tomorrow fingers crossed things won’t get any worse. It might take some effort (and shoveling) to get there but we’re sure it’ll be worth it!

Update 5pm
Annoyingly the strip of red is moving from the south east to the north west, therefore snow will keep coming throughout the evening:

Sara Tate has said “The residents of Pendine Estate are showing great neighbourly spirit by clearing the roads to get to Wembley in the morning…all except Cheviot Close! Please can you put a shout out for helpers as I’m trying to dig myself out from the top of the cul de sac all the way to the bottom by myself!”

We have been sent the following picture from Pandy of the A483 as of about 12:30pm, showing efforts being made to clear it – thanks to Charlotte Robertson’s Dad for the picture!

The radar image for midday today, showing a smaller band of snow passing overhead. The band is travelling from the south today rather than the south west as it was yesterday.

Snow is due to ease off mid afternoon, with light flurries throughout the evening. Snow will continue into the early hours however much lighter than we have seen in the last 24 hours. We attempted to measure the depth of snow in town this morning however lost a normal sized ruler while doing so!

Good news for Wrexham FC fans and anyone looking to travel is that the main routes in and out of town appear passable despite smaller routes being in poor condition. Wrexham fan Rich Jones says “Chester to Euston trains seem to be running sound, not much snow outside of Wrexham (in comparison)”.

Wrexham to Chester trains are running fine! Check out the picture of MP Ian Lucas further down…!

Council’s Emergency Planning team including Wrexham Football Club and Glyndwr Uni are working together to start clearing snow from the Uni’s car parks this afternoon. They say “It is therefore anticipated that the University grounds will be available to get fans away on Sunday morning as planned.”

The club say plans for bus travel is going ahead “Having spoken with the company organising the coaches, they are pushing head with plans to get coaches to all the pick-up points as planned for departure as scheduled. The coaches themselves are being requested to approved at points earlier that initially ordered, but we would ask all supporters to be patient. ”

S4C have confirmed the earlier rumours that it will be shown LIVE on TV at 3pm.

As of midday we are told “A483,A55,M53 Wrexham to Chester and Wirral all good – no delays”.

Arriva say “All Wrexham buses are NOT operating due to snow. That’s the 1,3,4,7,8,10,11,12,13,14,26,27,x94 Wrexham services.”

David sent us this picture of the A483 this morning.

Ruabon and Johnstown areas have been without power overnight, with one report that Holt was also affected.

Tesco and Asda are open and we are told they have no shortages.

Wrexham Carers remind us all “Knock on your neighbours door and check they are ok, whatever their age, even if you’ve never spoken to them before ”

We’ve been inundated with your pictures today so here’s a selection of what we’ve had in:-
