Wrexham’s Electoral & Registration Services (Wrexham Register Office) are moving to a new home at the Guildhall, Wrexham and staff have been busy packing up everything they need.

The move means that couples will marry or form a Civil Partnership in the new Ceremonies Room which will seat up to 40 guests. Baby changing & nursing facilities will be available on the ground and first floors of the Guildhall.

There is plenty of parking available in the nearby ‘pay & display’ car parks and Llwyn Isaf Green will provide a splendid backdrop for photographs.

Leader of the Council, Cllr Neil Rogers said: “We have been making arrangements for this move for some time. Staff themselves have been busy preparing for the move and I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their efforts to make sure that there will be minimum disruption to residents”.

On Monday 18th March there will be a limited Death registration service only at the Guildhall (by appointment). On Tuesday and Wednesday, 19 & 20 March services will be closed and will re-open at the Guildhall, at 8.45am on Thursday 21 March 2013.

The move was first proposed back in October (story here).
