Wrexham Markets Celebrates St. David’s Day

Preparations for the St. David’s celebrations in the Wrexham indoor markets are underway.

On Saturday 28th February there will be a number of activities for all the family to enjoy from 11am-3pm.

Piccolos storyteller will be in the event hut in the People’s Market telling Welsh themed tales which are sure to keep the children engrossed. There will be a free craft activity on the stage in the People’s Market whilst the Wrexham Country Markets stall will be in full swing selling lots of yummy treats from Welsh Cakes to Bara Brith.

The General Market has a huge range of traditional Welsh costumes for boys and girls along with Welsh rugby shirts and accessories. The General Market will also be providing free face painting from 11am-3pm.

In the Butchers’ Market, Ryan Lloyd Photography is offering a Welsh themed photo shoot for just £5. Why not pop along in your Welsh costume and take advantage of this fantastic offer! There will also be a prize for the best picture. This St. David’s Photography offer is valid until Saturday 7March.

The Butchers’ Market is still home to a number of quality independent butchers supplying fantastic Welsh champion sausages, Welsh cheeses and the best quality locally reared Welsh lamb.
