Wrexham Man Jailed For Over Four Years After Biting Off Part of Another Man’s Ear

A 27-year-old from Wrexham has been jailed for more than four years after biting off part of a man’s ear.

Sammy Lee Samuels of Caego, Wrexham pleaded guilty at Mold Crown Court to wounding and was yesterday sentenced to four years and six months in prison.

The incident happened on September 1st 2016 when he wounded a 24-year-old man in New Broughton Wrexham. He left the victim with permanent disfigurement after biting his ear.

Investigating officer DC Donna Rigney said: The victim and North Wales Police and are satisfied with this custodial sentence.

“The incident has left the victim with a permanent disfigurement to his ear and we believe the sentence reflects the seriousness of the offence.

“We will not tolerate crimes of such violence and will always pursue those who commit them.”
