Wrexham Football Club launch ‘Target 10,000’ to increase Racecourse capacity
Wrexham Football Club have this evening announced ‘Target 10,000’, a project to the the Racecourse capacity back up over the 10k mark.
To get to that point an investment of £15,000 by the club is needed to get the Lower University End behind the goal available to use when demand requires, hopefully in League Two next season.
The club have designated the home fixture against AFC Fylde on Saturday 28th April 2018 as the ‘Target 10,000’ game in which any surplus money above budget to be guaranteed to supporters to be ring fenced to support our relaunch of BuildTheBudget.
AFC Fylde are currently a point behind Wrexham also vying to make the playoffs, so it promises to be a cracker of a match, with a ‘Red Wall’ of fans pushing the team forward.
The club have said tonight: “Tickets are now on sale including in the the Lower University End for this game. We are urging fans attending this game to buy tickets for the University End, we believe with your help that we can create our own ‘Red Wall’ and sell out the entire 3,000 seats behind the goal (Lower and Upper GUS) and create a unique special atmosphere at the Racecourse. We want to create a noise that can be heard in Marchwiel!”
“Fans who want to go in the Lower University End should purchase their tickets in the next few days as we believe this area will sell out quickly as the first brick in the Red Wall.”
“If you can, please purchase your tickets in the next few days to help us drive Target 10,000. Experience tells us that when ticket sales take off that drives more and more people to choose to attend the game and can help us create our own Red Wall, an amazing atmosphere and Build-That-Budget!”
More festivities for the match are due to be announced over the days before the game.
