Wrexham Football Club bring festive cheer to Children’s Ward

Players from Wrexham AFC recently turned up to deliver some festive cheer and surprise patients staying on the Children’s Ward at Wrexham Maelor hospital.

The players spent time on the ward handing out presents and chatting to children, their families and staff.

Wrexham Captain, Shaun Pearson, said, “It’s important at this time of year, which can be a difficult time for many people, to give something back to the community we represent.

“It was great to see the kids smiling and happy.”

Ward Manager, Becky Morris added: “It’s always fantastic when the players visit. So many of our patients know the football club and so it’s really exciting for them when they visit.”
