Wrexham Council’s website is back up and running as normal after technical difficulties caused the site to go down for around 15 hours.

Problems with the website were first noted at around 8pm last night and the difficulties meant the council’s website was unavailable for a period of 14-15 hours which Wrexham Council understands may have caused issues for residents trying to access the website.

Cllr R J Dutton OBE, Lead Member for Corporate Services and Health and Safety said: “On behalf of the Council I would like to apologise to any visitors who were unable to access online services during last night and for the majority of this morning.

“We have resolved the technical issues that were preventing residents from gaining online access as well as our phone services and will always aim to reduce the possibilities of technical incidents in the future. Such occurrences are rare however we recognise the inconvenience they can cause for people trying access the council’s website.”

The Council added:”WCBC apologises for any inconvenience caused during this time for residents and visitors who wished to have gained access to the site at this time.”
