A Wrexham based construction company is leading the way for building information modelling (BIM).

Read Construction celebrated their success this week as the first organisation in Wales and one of only four globally to gain a new accreditation.

The ISO 19650 accreditation recognises the company’s business systems and processes for BIM, emphasising the importance of digital construction in the modern world.

The event, attended by Ken Skates AM, celebrated the company’s achievement together with key stakeholders who have supported Read on its journey.

Alex Read, Read Construction Director said: “We have worked tirelessly to quickly adopt the new standards and have transitioned our systems and processes to remain at the forefront of digital construction.

“The process involved a thorough audit of our systems and interrogation of our capabilities on a live project which has resulted in the successful award by the BSI.”
