Wrexham.com Election Poll 2: Lucas & Labour Still Lead

Wrexham.com have run a second snap ‘straw poll’ asking readers about their General Election voting intent and other questions.

The results mirror our previous poll but with differing percentages on the sample with Ian Lucas of the Welsh Labour party still in the lead, with Andrew Atkinson from the Welsh Conservative Party and Carrie Harper from Plaid Cymru in close second and third places.

No doubt there will be many different readings of this data, and it is important to note it is a quick sample of readers and social media followers of Wrexham.com. It is entirely unscientific and conducted in a very straightforward manner online, so treat it accordingly!

The main event is the question about voting intent against each candidate named, that is to say “If the General Election was tomorrow who would you vote for?“? Previous results are faded into the background for comparison.

We took the opportunity to ask a few other questions, some more serious than others with the responses as follows:

You can view our full election coverage page here, which includes full video Q&A’s with each Wrexham candidate and written responses from Clwyd South candidates. There is also the full video from the only public hustings event held on Saturday night – however be warned some of the heckles are a little sweary!

Join us on Thursday evening LIVE from the count – and make sure you turn out to vote and have your say!
