A woman’s body was found last night in the public toilets in the Waterworld car park.

At approximately 5.40pm yesterday,  North Wales Police and other emergency services attended a location in Chester Road Wrexham where they discovered a 23 year old woman, believed to be from outside the north Wales area, in a state of unconsciousness.

She was conveyed to hospital where despite the actions of responding Police Officers and Paramedics she was pronounced dead.

At this time North Wales Police are treating her death as ‘unexplained’. The matter has been referred to HM Coroner.

At the same time and location a 26 year old man was arrested on suspicion of the possession and supply of controlled drugs and will be interviewed later today at a local Police Station.

Update Thursday morning: The area is still cordoned off and a police statement is believed to be released shortly.
