A man has died following a road traffic collision in Wrexham almost two months ago.

Shortly after 1pm on Saturday 27th July a collision occurred on the A525 in Horseman’s Green which involved a blue Ford Fiesta and a beige coloured Citroen C3.

Both drivers were taken to hospital, however, sadly, the 72-year-old driver of the Fiesta died in hospital on Monday 16th September.

Sergeant Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit is now renewing the appeal for witnesses.

He said: “Sadly the man died whilst in hospital in Stoke and our thoughts remain with his family and friends at this difficult time.

“We are renewing our appeal for witnesses and are particularly keen on speaking to anybody who may have witnessed the collision, or anybody who was travelling in or around the area at the time and who has dash cam footage.

“We are aware that there may be witnesses who saw what happened or stopped at the scene who may not have, as yet, contacted us.

“Due to it now being a fatal collision investigation we would urge those people to please come forward.”

Anybody who can assist with the ongoing investigation is asked to contact PC 2928 Faulkner of the Roads Policing Unit quoting reference number 19100411431.
