Emergency services attended what is locally rumoured to be a ‘hit and run’ near the Bowling Green in Pen-y-Bryn last night.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 7:30pm.

One person sent us the above photo of a police car and an ambulance at the scene.

We will update will official comment / information on the incident from the police tomorrow.

On Rivulet Road fire crews were called to a car arson at 10:10pm last night.

The incident involved one vehicle and the fire was caused by a deliberate ignition.

We were also contacted last night about an assault that took place on Grove Road.

The person involved told us the incident took place as they were walking back from the Spar in Rhosddu.

We were told that they were ‘grabbed’ by two men and have been left with a black eye.

More information as we have it…
