Many Wrexham residents are without water this morning after a water main in Holt has burst.

Many people have got in touch with us to explain the issue, with tweets embedded below:

A statement has been forwarded to us saying: “A mains burst occurred in the early hours of this morning in Holt and therefore if you live in the Rossett, Lavister, Pulford, Dodleston, Eccleston, Holt, Farndon, Churton, Common Wood, Poulton and Aldford areas you may have experienced a disruption to your water supply.”

“Our engineers are in the process of carrying out a repair and alternative supplies are currently being arranged. Once the supply has been restored to normal, you may experience some discolouration to your water supply.”

“Customers in the Gresford and Marford area may also experience discolouration as a result and we would therefore ask that you please run the kitchen cold water tap until the supply clears and refrain from using the supply for any water appliances during this time.”
