After Wrexham’s success in 2012 winning Silver Gilt and 1st place in Wales in Bloom,  the Wales in Bloom Team are now ready for the judging of the 2013 competition.

This year, Wrexham is entering the Wales in Bloom 2013 Competition with a new route to take the judges around.  The route will begin at Holt Village, looking at the work of the community, then travel to the Wrexham Industrial Estate, visiting the Recycling Centre, JCB,  Borras Infant School, Acton Park, Prices Lane Allotments, Crescent road gardens and then through the Town Centre, to finish outside the Guildhall.

Judges will arrive in Wrexham next Tuesday.

During the campaign children are encouraged to participate in the newly launched ‘Flowery Flower Pot Competition’.  This year pupils who attend schools in Holt and Borras Infants were asked to make and decorate their own flower pot and the flowers to go into the flower pots.

The flower pots have now been placed in the shops across Wrexham Town Centre. A competition is being launched for children to try and find as many of the flower pots as possible.

Prizes for the competition have been sponsored by Tesco. The entry forms are located in the Tourist Information Office, Tesco and the Contact Centre from the 8th July 2013 and will run through the summer holidays
