With just 16 days left until the General Election, Wrexham residents who are not yet registered to vote are being encouraged to go online now to register.

The closing date for registration is 20 April (today).  Anyone not registered can do so now by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. It takes just a few minutes to register to vote and you’ll need your National Insurance Number handy to do so.

Dr Helen Paterson, Electoral Registration Officer for Wrexham, said: “Anyone not yet registered to vote should do so as soon as possible in order for them to be able to have their say on issues that affect their lives.  It only takes a few minutes to complete the form online.”

Local residents can obtain a paper copy of the registration form by contacting the electoral registration office on 01978 292020.

Over the next few weeks Wrexham.com will be keeping readers up to date with election news and information for the area – so be sure to keep an eye out for our election coverage. To get involved and let us know your thoughts, use the hashtag #wrexelects on Twitter.
