Volunteers Wanted For Big Clean up Event in Rhos

Residents are being asked to take part in an event to help tidy up a local community.

The community engagement event is being organised by Wrexham Council’s Rhos Estate Office and will see council staff, local groups and a team of volunteers joining in to help improve their environment.

The day will involve picking up litter, painting fence panels, strimming hedges and removing weeds from the curb side and boundary fencing to improve the visual appearance of the area.

Local Member for Rhos, Cllr Mark Owens, said: “This event is a great chance to for the council, local groups and residents to work together for the benefit of the whole community. We want to tenants and residents to take pride in their communities and this is a fantastic opportunity for community engagement which will make a real difference to the local environment.

“I would encourage as many people as possible to get involved to ensure its success. ”

The clean-up event will begin at the Garden Road area of Rhos, 9.30-12.30 on Thursday, 1st September.
