Virgin Media will begin its next stage of ultrafast broadband expansion around the town centre next week.

As a result motorists are being warned that from a one-way system will be in operation on Victoria Road, running from Ruabon Road to Ruthin Road from Monday 24th February.

Whilst these works are taking traffic will be diverted via an alternative route around the works.

In the coming weeks further works are also planned on A525 Ruthin Road, Bradley Road and Penybryn.

The Council says, “Whilst it is accepted these works may cause some disruption on those roads in the area every effort will be made to keep these to a minimum.”

Historically issues with some Virgin Media contractors revealed emails that highlighted problems, with other issues also being raised, and now we are told a closer eye is being kept on contractors over the quality and manner of the work taking place.
