A Wrexham.com reader has sent us this video of a herd of slow moo-ving cattle heading northbound on the bypass last night.

He told us of the incident that began near to the Bangor On Dee turning on the bypass, “A truck came and skidded and missed them. I herded them along with a taxi, and we go them down to the Rhostyllen roundabout where I met a police officer. We herded them on to the fields by the roundabout.”

Police confirmed they were called to cattle on the carriageway just after 11:30pm last night, with the number of animals involved estimated to be over twenty.

The cows were deemed secure in a field by Rhostyllen by 12:15am, and the owner has since been traced this morning.
