A vehicle that was ‘For Sale’ in Wrexham has been stolen after a driver failed to return from a test drive.

An appeal has been launched following the theft of a Peugeot style vehicle part registration P54 —, which was listed as for sale in the Wellington Road area. The incident took place at around 6pm yesterday.

At around 6pm a male arrived in a green Ford Ka and offered to part exchange the vehicle. The male asked for a test drive of the Peugeot, which the owner permitted. The male did not return with the Peugeot. It later transpired that the green Ford Ka had been stolen.

Police are urging car owners, with vehicles for sale, to be aware of this incident.
