We have been told of two upcoming events that will take place in the Wrexham library in July:

Coming to Wrexham Library from 28th June:

Yes it’s summer and this can only mean one thing The Summer Reading Challenge for 2013 is about to be launched. This year’s challenge is called Creepy House and is aimed at children 4-11 years of age. So get ready for a spine-tingling mystery to solve in the Creepy House! Join the gang of young detectives and help them solve the clues and follow the spooky reading trail.

Dare you explore the dusty secret passage and make friends with the bats in the attic? Read a minimum of six books over three visits to the library on this scary reading journey and you will get a fantastic gold style medal and certificate. There are three stages to complete.

STAGE 1: The Awful Upstairs – read two books and collect stickers to reveal creepy residents
STAGE 2: The Gruesome Ground Floor – read two more books to discover who else is hiding
STAGE 3: The Spine-Tingling Cellar – read the last of your chosen six books to complete the quest.

To enrol on this creepy challenge just head to your local library at the beginning of the summer holidays with your library card. It’s completely free of charge. Not a member of the library? Don’t worry, all you need to do is call into your local library with one form of ID and we will sign you up. For more details contact your local library.
