An unsanitary discovery was made by a Wrexham resident walking up the steps alongside the historic Wynnstay Arms Hotel this afternoon.

Wrexham.com follower @RobCymru was walking up the steps just off Yorke Street at around 2pm when he spotted a used sanitary towel.

He tweeted to say: “Walking down the steps at the side of The Wynnstay and there’s a used sanitary towel.”

When we went to investigate an hour later the offending article was still on the steps with a mother and children walking close by.

There were also cigarette butts and an empty can of Carlsberg piled up on the steps.

Wrexham.com reported the issue to Wrexham Council’s Street Scene team and to their credit it was dealt with in under two hours.

If you spot anything making the town’s streets look untidy like litter, dog fouling, recycling, faulty streetlights or even problems with the road or pavement then contact the street scene team on 01978 298989.
