Air ambulance in attendance as two vehicle collision closes A539 towards Llangollen

Update: Two people were taken to hospital after the crash, one sadly with ‘serious injuries’. The North Wales Fire and Rescue Service crews used cutting equipment to free one man from his car.

Motorists are being urged to avoid the A539 towards Llangollen this afternoon following a crash.

Update 12:50pm: Two air ambulances have left the vicinity of the incident.

The incident on the Trevor Road to Llangollen took place at just before midday.

Two vehicles have been involved and motorists are being urged to avoid the area and to drive carefully due to road conditions.

Police are at the scene and the air ambulance was also seen landing at around 11:45am.

There are reports to us of two air ambulances attending however we have yet to confirm.
