Two suffer “serious life threatening injuries” following collision between motorcycle and car

Two people have suffered serious injuries following a collision between a car and a motorcycle this afternoon.

North Wales Police have issued an appeal for witness following the serious collision, which took place on the B5130 between Holt Road and Wrexham Industrial Estate at 4:10pm.

A motorcycle and a car were involved in the incident and police say the rider and pillion passenger of the motorcycle suffered serious life threatening injuries.

Sgt Meurig Jones of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Our investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision.

“We are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed a blue Kawasaki motorcycle travelling towards Wrexham and a green Triumph TR7 travelling in the opposite direction shortly after 4pm today.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any further information is advised to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 101 quoting reference W059367.

The road was closed earlier, and three air ambulances attended the incident – two Wales Air Ambulances and one North West Air Ambulance.
