Two Men Arrested After Man Injured In Attempted Robbery

A witness appeal is being made by officers in the Southsea area of Wrexham following the attempted robbery involving a man this morning.

Two males, a 24-year-old and a 17-year-old have both been arrested in connection with the incident which happened shortly before 11am as a man in his 30’s walked near Hywelfa.

The victim is believed to have sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Both males have been arrested on suspicion of attempt robbery and remain at a local custody unit awaiting questioning.

Sergeant Gavin Gilmore said: “Officers remain in the area undertaking house to house inquiries and we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to please get in touch. The area where the incident is believed to have happened was cordoned off for a time today and our investigations are continuing.”
