Two local men aged 24 and 27 have been arrested in Caia Park on suspicion of stealing a car.

Police stopped a gold Rover 200 by the River Gwenfro around 1.30pm this afternoon. Several police cars and the police helicopter were seen nearby at the time of the incident, around the Whitegate area to Y Wern.

When Wrexham.com popped down we saw one police car and some PCSO’s in the area. A low loader was also being used to recover the gold coloured Rover from a grass area by the River Gwenfro.

The location of the car did seem peculiar and it was hard to work out how it arrived at that point. Several bystanders were congregated in the area observing the recovery of the vehicle.
