Two Kayakers Rescued From River Dee

Two men were rescued this afternoon after getting into difficulties when kayaking in the River Dee.

Emergency services were called to the River Dee in Llangollen shortly before 3pm this afternoon.

‘Mair The Collie’ sent us these pictures of the incident, saying that a river rescue was taking place.

Llangollen Fire later tweeted to say: “One male trapped on rocks in River Dee. Male had fallen out of his canoe.”

A ladder was used to rescue the male off the rocks.
