Appeal For Witnesses After Two Die In Bronington RTC

Two people have sadly died in a single vehicle incident on the A495 Ellesmere to Whitchurch road just before 11pm last night.

At 10.55pm on Thursday October 30 silver Vauxhall Corsa travelling in the direction of Penley on the A495 Ellesmere Road was in collision with a tree.

Unfortunately the two male occupants aged 19 and 22, from the Shropshire area died as a result of the collision.

Police issued information shortly before 6am this morning about the incident, with Sergeant Latham of North Wales Police saying despite the best efforts of emergency services and others at the scene the two occupants of the car sadly died.

Police say both families have been informed, along with the coroner.

The road was closed for a period last night due to the incident and diversions put in place.

Senior Investigating Officer Sergeant Jane Thomas said “A full investigation will now take place and we’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it to contact the Roads Policing Unit at Deeside on 101 or via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 and quote reference R171477.”
