Turn detective and find out whodunnit at an upcoming Victorian Murder Mystery Night in Wrexham.

Martin Edwards, the popular speaker and writer whose books are highly ranked in the national library lending lists, will be at Wrexham Library to host a Victorian Murder Mystery evening on Tuesday May 10th starting at 7 pm.

The mystery offers participants the chance to show who is the best detective in Wrexham and there will be book prizes for the three winners.

The mystery, titled ‘Who Killed George Hargrave?’ is written by award-winning crime writer Martin Edwards, who will host the evening. The audience will listen to testimony from the suspects in the case, before deciding the identity of the murderer, the means, and the motive. While solutions are being judged, Martin Edwards will give a talk on Victorian and present day crime fiction.

Martin Edwards said: “The event has been staged very successfully in venues around the country and I am delighted to have been asked to bring it to Wrexham and be part of Wrexham’s Carnival of Words festival.”

“Who Killed George Hargrave?’ will take place at Wrexham Library on Tuesday 10th May at 7pm. Tickets are priced at £5 and the evening includes light refreshments.

Waterstones will be selling books on the evening and Martin Edwards will be signing copies of his books, including his critically acclaimed Lake District Mysteries, The Coffin Trail and The Hanging Wood.

Tickets are on sale at Wrexham Library and Waterstones or via the Carnival of Words website, www.wrexhamcarnivalofwords.com
