Huge tailbacks have been caused on the A483 this afternoon after a trailer being towed by a car overturned spilling bales of hay onto the road.

The northbound section of the A483 has been closed by police between junctions 4 and 5 between the Ruthin Road and Mold Road turn off.

Traffic is also heavy in the surrounding areas including Ruthin Road itself whilst the hay is being recovered from the road by a tractor

It is thought that it could cause further problems into rush hour.

@wrexham follower Graham Edwards (@grahameddyok) alerted us to the situation at around half 2 this afternoon and traffic is still said to be at a standstill.

Police said that the incident involving a Mitsubishi occured at 1.47pm.
