Town Centre Store Evacuated Amid Large Fire Service Response

Bargain Buys in the town centre was evacuated this afternoon with a large response from the fire service.

UPDATE: Thankfully it was a false alarm. No injuries reported. Nick also observes on our Facebook page on town parking not helping potential emergency responses: “I bet all those cars that were parked in the pedestrian restricted roads helped. 14 just on the main shopping Road 10am this morning. Ridiculous”

The store has been evacuated and closed as the fire service respond to a suspected incident.

Police and an ambulance are also attending the incident.

The Chinese Buffet has also been evacuated.
