A large multi-storey car park in the heart of the town centre has reopened under new ownership.

St Mark’s Car Park, located on Regent Street, reopened to the public at the end of last week.

St Mark’s Car Park had previously closed in 2015 after the previous owners, NCP, confirmed it would not be renewing its lease. The car park stood empty for a year before being taken over by Britannia Parking in May 2016.

Over the summer Wrexham.com reported on the sudden closure of the car park – with the doors and gates to the car park have been closed off, along with the removal of barrier equipment.

At the time a spokesperson for Britannia Parking told us they would no longer be managing the site.

The car park now appears to be managed by ParkingEye Ltd on behalf of the owners.

Pricing at the site seems largely in line with what was on offer previously, with up to one hour costing 50p, up to two hours costing £1 and up to four hours costing £2.

Between the car park’s opening hours of 7am and 8pm Monday – Saturday, it will also cost £3 to park.

On Sundays pricing is largely similar, with options for up to an hour (50p) and up to two hours (£1) being displayed. There is also the option of £3 to park between the opening hours of 9am and 6pm.
