Tools Stolen Following Wrexham Shed Break-in

An appeal for information has been launched following a break-in at a property in Wrexham.

Wrexham Rural Policing Team are after a shed was entered in the Heol Celyn area of Coedpoeth. A number of tools were stolen as a result of the incident, which took place between Friday 24th April and Saturday 25th April.

If you saw anything suspicious, or have any information relating to this incident please contact North Wales Police by dialling 101 quoting the reference number RC15058640 OWL Alert Eastern. Alternatively, you can provide information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers Wales telephone 0800 555 111.

North Wales Police also have a number of tips on how to improve the security of your shed, which can be a target to thieves throughout the year.

The ‘Shed-ucation’ tips listed on the North Wales Police website include:

– Locks, including using two pad bolts for extra security
– Fitting mesh or steel bars to shed windows. It is also advised to screw them shut
– Property Marking items in the shed
– Inserting a security alarm
– Lighting
– Home Insurance
– Gravel paths (pretty tricky to walk across those quietly!)
