Three-Year-Old Dies After Being Found In Garden Pond

A three-year-old boy has died after being found in a garden pond.

North Wales Police said the boy was reported missing at Froncysllte near Llangollen at 11:55am this morning. He was soon found nearby in a garden pond.

The boy was taken to the Wrexham Maelor by ambulance after being found, but died despite efforts from the medical staff.

We had a number of reports of police activity around the area, along with a police helicopter spotted over Froncysllte.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “At approximately 11.55am this morning, North Wales Police responded to the report of a three-year-old boy missing from an address in Froncysllte near Llangollen.

“Officers attended the address and a short time later the child was found close by in a garden pond. He was conveyed immediately by ambulance in Wrexham where despite the efforts of medical staff he sadly passed away. HM Coroner will be informed.”
