Just after 8:30am this morning we were contacted by a passer by who said “Three cars have collided on the bypass by Gwersyllt”.

The incident occurred on the main road coming out of Gwersyllt towards the B&Q roundabout.

Another eyewitness told us “There were about three cars involved. One very badly smashed up, the others had minor bumps. I saw two women sat on the barrier, one looked shaken up.”

Two ambulances attended, and one woman was taken to hospital.

The crash created tailbacks affecting morning commuters.

Other traffic in town was caused by a three way traffic light system being introduced to Rhosddu Rd by the Walnut tree.
