Thousands of pounds worth of equipment have been stolen after a van was broken into over the weekend.

A silver Peugeot van was broken into at around 12:45pm on Saturday afternoon on the Berse Road retail park. The window of the van was smashed while the owner was inside a store.

We have been told that it’s going to cost around £4000 to repair the damage and replace the stolen items.

Some of the items that were stolen include: several Makita drills, Bosch boxes, nail guns, jigs and chisels. A number of boxes containing hand held tools such as hammers, chisels and screwdrivers were also taken.

We are told that the Bosch boxes are very distinctive, and are dark and ‘stack’. The boxes were also full of equipment that was stolen.

One of the van owners, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “My husband was followed into a shop car park and he was in the shop for a total of eight minutes. In which time his van was broken into. In the space of literally a couple minutes the window was smashed and the van was completely emptied.

“It’s going to cost about £4000 to replace to tools/equipment and pay for the damage that has been done, but to the dirty desperate low life’s it’s probably worth a couple of hundred pounds to them. There’s tools and equipment that will be of no value to anybody because my husband still has other parts however it will cost him hundreds to replace.

“This is a mans livelihood, so please if you hear or get offered anything dodgy report it to the police and secondly please don’t buy anything from some untrustworthy source because they are cheap.”

Anyone with any further information is advised to call North Wales Police on 101.
