Thousands Attend Town Centre Play Day
The annual national Play Day took place this afternoon at Queen’s Square and Llwyn Isaf attracting thousands of people!
When Wrexham.com popped up to have a look, we were amazed at the attendance, and were later told it looks set to beat last years figures for attendees.
Hopefully below are two ‘draggable’ panoramas of Queens Square and Llwyn Isaf:

On Queen’s Square there was a mini beach, a maze and a bouncy castle plus the square being turned into a play area with chalks, balls and similar games. The mini beach seemed to be the personal favourite of the day, with children building sandcastles and generally enjoying all the fun of the beach.
Around the corner on Llwyn Isaf children enjoyed water fights behind forts, toasted marshmallows over a fire, conducted giant volleyball games and zoomed along a water slide.
Possibly our favourite part was the scaffolding that people could jump onto crash mats from, which although was not that high, probably would have scared us !
Queens Square hosted the giant sand pit that proved a big hit last year, plus a big a maze and an early years area.
Visitors were also invited to bring along a picnic and stay all afternoon, which due to the good weather many did!
