The Twilight Sad join FOCUS Wales line-up
Scottish post-punk band ‘The Twilight Sad’ have joined the line-up for this year’s FOCUS Wales
From their unassuming origins as a group of school friends drawn together by a shared passion for music to the global touring force they have quietly become, The Twilight Sad’s ascent has been forged the old way: with grit, graft and four exceptional studio albums.
The group will join more than 250 acts from Wales and across the world to descend upon Wrexham town centre for the three day event between May 7th and 9th.
This year will mark the 10th anniversary edition of the FOCUS Wales international showcase festival in town, winner of Best Festival for Emerging Talent at the UK Festival Awards, and recently shortlisted for a European Festival Award.
Amongst the other acts already announced to play the 2020 festival are Richard Hawley, Battles, Gruff Rhys, Altin Gün, Stealing Sheep, Flamingods, Lucy Spraggan, Georgia Ruth, JOHN, Catrin Finch & Sekou Keita, Gallops, The Breath, Trials of Cato, Adwaith, Nik Colk Void (Factory Floor) ,God Damn, Karima Francis, Chinatown Slalom + artists from Australia, Austria, Balearics, Canada, Catalonia, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Mexico, the Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden, Taiwan, and the USA.
FOCUS Wales has become Wales’ biggest music industry event, with three days of panels, keynote talks, and industry advice, the festival will see over 400 music industry professionals descend upon Wrexham from around the world.
Delegates announced so far include: David Silbaugh (Summerfest, USA), Lisa Schwartz (Folk Alliance), Jason Mayall (Fuji Rock Festival, Japan), Jude Rogers (The Guardian), Martin Elbourne (Glastonbury), Bev Burton (Killer B), Julie Weir (Sony Music), Henca Maduro (New Skool Rules, Netherlands), Emma Zillmann (Blue Dot/Kendal Calling), Klaus Pwela (Arcadia Live, Austria), and Cesar Andion (Live Nation, Spain).
