A Wrexham based community music project is to offer a range of free music activities after being awarded a grant from The Big Lottery Fund.

The Vic Studios, based at the Victoria Centre on Hill Street, have announced they will be providing activities to specialist Youth and Community Organisations in the North and Mid-Wales Area.

These sessions will cover topics such as DJing, music technology, drum tuition, guitar lessons – as well as video and film making.

Vic Studios Ltd is the not for profit company set up by local people to save Vic Studios after it was closed in September 2015 by Wrexham County Borough Council as part of a wider programme of cost savings.

The studios is an award-winning Social Enterprise focused on improving the lives and prospects of Young People and the wider community through music.

Since opening it’s doors in 2016, Vic Studios has facilitated over 3500 visits and has delivered in excess of 50 nationally-recognised qualifications to its users.
