Wrexhamites can expect a chilly few days ahead, with temperatures expected to dip below zero overnight.

The most recent forecast released by the Met Office shows that temperatures in Wrexham are expected to hit -1 in the early hours of the morning.

Today saw a variety of weather in Wrexham, with the day alternating between sleet, snow, rain and sunshine.

The mixed batch of weather is expected to carry through the next few days, with more light snow showers forecast and more very chilly temperatures.

Over the next few days Wrexhamites can expect whopping highs of 4 degrees straight through to a very cool -3 degrees on Sunday evening.

A yellow weather warning is also in place tomorrow, with cold weather and ice forecast across Wales.

The Met Office states: “A band of rain, sleet and snow will spread east across the area on Saturday morning. 2-4 cm of snow are likely in places above 200 m, chiefly over Wales and the moors of southwest England, with the risk of temporary local accumulations to low levels. Icy patches may form, especially on untreated surfaces.

“The public should be aware of the risk of some difficult driving conditions.”

The weather warning is in place from 3am on Saturday morning straight through to midday tomorrow afternoon.

Make sure to wrap up warm and take extra care if heading out on the roads the next few days.
