Bus services through Tanyfron have been reinstated following successful talks between Arriva and Wrexham Council.

Brymbo councillor Paul Rogers requested the meeting after being “inundated with calls” from affected residents about the service change in December.

The number 14 bus had been frequently diverted via College Hill towards Brymbo due to problems with parked vehicles in the area.

As a result many of the stops in the village had been missed.

The meeting was attended by Cllr Paul Rogers and representatives from both Arriva and Wrexham Council. Problems with parked vehicles were discussed along with potential solutions to the issue.

Cllr Rogers has now thanked Arriva for reinstating the service through the village.

He said: “As of Monday this week bus services have resumed through the village of Tanyfron which is great news for the community.”

“There has been a small change to how the service is operated by Arriva however all bus stops in the community will once again be served.

“I would like to thank them for the productive meeting and for reinstating this service.”
