Surprise Wake Up Call For Garden Village Residents

Police and Council workers responded in the early hours to a branch damaging a lamp post in Garden Village which also blocked a road.

The large branch fell around half three this morning close to the Garden Village shops.

Nessa, a local resident, told us: “It made a massive noise in the middle of the night waking residents up.”

“It caused the lamp to bend into the road causing cars going past to stop.”

We are told police arrived shortly after the incident occurred, while Wrexham Council arrived on the scene around half five this morning and trimmed the tree and made the site safe.

We popped over this morning and took the above picture of the damaged lamp post (above) and the tree , pictured below:
